Lori Pelech

Lori Pelech was the North Atlantic LCC's first GIS specialist and geographer, and managed spatial data acquisition, analysis and mapping for the North Atlantic LCC from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, she accepted a position with Esri. Lori's GIS experience prior to joining the NALCC staff included work as a spatial ecology research assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, environmental planner and GIS analyst for a consulting firm in upstate New York, GIS technician for the Planning Bureau at New York State Parks, and adjunct instructor of a course she designed on conservation GIS at her alma mater. She holds a bachelor's degree in history and American Studies from Skidmore College, a master's degree in geography from King's College at the University of London, and plans to defend a master's degree in environmental conservation at the University of Massachusetts Amherst this year.
