FINAL CALL FOR ABSTRACTS - 2020 Atlantic Salmon Ecosystems Forum

2020 Atlantic Salmon Ecosystems Forum
Please be advised that the online abstract submission deadline for the 2020 Atlantic Salmon Ecosystems Forum is this Sunday, December 1, 2019. Author Guidelines can be found on the webpage.

A broad spectrum of topics will be considered including but not limited to:

  • Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems

  • Population Assessment

  • Fish Passage and Distribution

  • Diadromous Species Ecology

  • Community Engagement

Given the conference theme, Time flies: Atlantic Salmon as an endangered species twenty years later, authors are encouraged to evaluate and discuss the management implications of their research, and/or reflect on their successes in science, management and restoration, while outlining paths forward that promote recovery where applicable and appropriate.

This year, we are excited to have Dr. David Hart, Director, The Mitchell Center for Sustainability Solutions at the University of Maine providing a broad scale perspective on sustainability in a rapidly changing world in his keynote presentation entitled "Sustainability as a framework for rethinking approaches to salmon, society and solutions." This will surely spur some lively discussions.

The schedule at a glance will be distributed by mid-December, and the full Program and Abstracts soon thereafter.
Please remember the online registration deadline is January 1, 2020. Registration will also be available at the door on January 13-14, 2020.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact us.

We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday (belatedly to our northern friends and colleagues), and look forward to reconnecting at the Forum in January 2020!
