Coastal and Marine Habitat Restoration Grants for 2019

Grants, Funding

The NOAA Restoration Center has announced a new Federal Funding Opportunity focused on community based restoration efforts with $6 million in Community-based Restoration Program funding available for coastal and marine habitat restoration in 2019.  The Restoration Center recognizes that habitat protection and restoration are essential elements of a strategy for sustainable commercial and recreational fisheries.  The Community-based Restoration Program supports restoration projects that use a habitat-based approach to rebuild productive and sustainable fisheries, contribute to the recovery and conservation of protected resources, promote healthy ecosystems, and and yield community and economic benefits.  Investing in habitat restoration projects leads to real, lasting differences for communities, businesses, and the environment.Applicants will be asked to describe the benefits of their potential projects to the species listed as Endangered or Threatened under the Endangered Species Act.  The deadline for pre-proposals are due January 14th. There will be a webinar held on December 6th for potential applicants. Please follow the hyperlink below with additional details.
