A pathways intern since January 2017, Colleen Gault supports the science coordinator in documenting geospatial datasets and other tools, reviewing reports, and maintaining records. She also provides assistance to the GIS analyst. She has taken on the role of data manager for the NALCC in a massive nationwide metadata archiving and cataloging effort. Colleen helped with the release of Nature’s Network and leapt at the opportunity to aid partners in learning how Nature’s Network can help them achieve their conservation goals. She has developed case studies and training materials for hands-on demonstrations and serves as a presenter at workshops across the Northeast.
Colleen is a PhD candidate at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany. She uses methods of non-invasive behavioral endocrinology to study stress and social support in wild White-faced capuchin monkeys in Costa Rica. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University and a Masters in Neuroscience and Animal Behavior from the Psychology Department of Emory University.
