Scott has served as Science Coordinator for the North Atlantic LCC since December 2011. He works with partners and other LCC staff to oversee and coordinate the conservation science projects and activities of the North Atlantic LCC.
Prior to joining the North Atlantic LCC, he was a postdoctoral research associate with the Vermont Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit. While there he developed wildlife-habitat models for the Designing Sustainable Landscapes project that is sponsored by the North Atlantic LCC and led by the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He received his Ph.D. in wildlife ecology from the University of Vermont in 2008. Prior to entering the Ph.D. program, he served for 15 years at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, DC, most recently as ecological science coordinator for EPA's Risk Assessment Forum. He received a bachelor's degree in biology from Dartmouth College and a master's degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University.
