Designing Sustainable Landscapes Workshops

A foundational project of the North Atlantic LCC is known as Designing Sustainable Landscapes. The purpose of these workshops is to familiarize partners with the science and tools that have been developed as a part of this project for several sub-watersheds and to get feedback on how tools can be designed to best help with relevant conservation decisions including land protection, land use, ecological restoration and land management.

Workshops' Website: http://www.northatlanticlcc.org/dsl_workshops.html

Workshop Goals: The goals are to get your feedback on how tools can be designed to best help conservation managers with relevant conservation decisions that they are making.  In addition to getting your feedback at this workshop, we are hoping that partners will be willing to provide ongoing guidance over the next few years to help ensure that this project is useful and relevant in decision making.  The project is now being expanded from the pilot areas in the North Atlantic LCC to the entire Northeast Region.

For more information on the products developed by the University of Massachusetts Amherst as part of this project, please visit their website: http://www.umass.edu/landeco/research/nalcc/nalcc.html.
