Project to showcase scenario planning for climate change, boreal forest and moose

The first phase of a scenario-planning project for wildlife management in Northeast boreal forests is underway, and includes the launch a monthly newsletter.

What do changing environmental conditions mean for moose in the boreal forest? A new project is giving context to questions about climate change in the Northeast by developing a set of scenarios that explore implications for species and ecosystems. Supported by the Wildlife Conservation Society, USGS National Climate Change and Wildlife Science Center, North Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative and partners, the Climate Change, Boreal Forest and Moose project will also serve as a pilot to help develop best practices for using scenario planning to inform environmental management.

One aspect of the project's outreach will be a monthly newsletter. Read the first issue here.
