Benefits of Attending:

• Learn about all the new conservation data sets you can use in your conservation planning from experts who explain it in language specifically geared to RCPs.
• Bring your laptop and learn how to get on and use Databasin.org with support from trained staff. Databasin provides simple tools that allow you to look at and use multiple data sets to help guide your conservation decision making and attract new funding. Hands-on exercises will help you master this simple but effective tool.
• Take part in a group discussion led by the Open Space Institute on a draft guidance document they are crafting to better help RCP members understand and utilize new data sets including climate resiliency science. They need your help and the final document will help you and your partners!
• Meet scientists and leaders with state and federal agencies and organizations who want to learn more about your RCP.
• Network with other RCP members from your state and surrounding states.
• Don't bother packing lunch. We've got you covered! Lunch and refreshments provided.

Who should attend: This workshop will be valuable for all RCP coordinators, land trust leaders, and all RCP participants involved in conservation planning and/or with an interest in science-informed mapping and case statements. All participants, no matter their GIS background, will learn how to access the data sets and use various tools and applications on Databasin.org.
