Canoe or kayak with DSF down a leg of the Pleasant River. You’ll want to come prepared with your canoe or kayak, paddle, life jacket, bug repellent, sunscreen, drinking water, and bag lunch or a snack.
In January of 1991, the first batch of 100,000 salmon eggs were transferred to DSF's Pleasant River Hatchery, where they were incubated until they were stocked in May. With help from student and community volunteers, the hatchery has incubated salmon or trout eggs between January and May for over 20 years. Come learn more about the Pleasant River with DSF biologist, Brett Ciccotelli, and learn more about the Pleasant River, paddling, and the work we've been up to on this beautiful river.
Please register with DSF at or by calling Membership and Development Coordinator, Heather Andrews, at . We'll meet at DSF's office in Columbia Falls at 6pm and head out from there. We look forward to seeing you out on the water!
