Maine DMR operates rotary screw traps to enumerate emigrating Atlantic salmon smolts on the Narraguagus River (Little Falls and Route 9), Sandy River (Lane Road), and East Machias River (Jacksonville Bridge). However, trapping on the Narraguagus and East Machias has ended for the season. The Sandy River site is still operating and continues to catch a few smolts daily. This is the final weekly update for the 2021 season. Trapping ended on the Sandy River site on Friday, 11 June.
