Rescheduled Kennebec River Management Plan Public Hearing

Opportunity to register for public meeting

The public hearing for the Chapter 60-Kennebec River Fish Restoration Plan has been rescheduled for Monday, March 15th at 3pm. It will be held remotely using Microsoft Teams, so you may participate in the proceeding via telephone or computer. The public hearing may be continued, as necessary, on March 17th at the same time and format. DMR is accepting written comments on the proposal until March 27, 2021. Please carefully review the information below:

What to expect: The purpose of the public hearing is to take additional comment on the proposal. At the beginning of the proceeding, DMR staff will explain the proposed plan and members of the public will have the opportunity to ask clarifying questions. After the question and answer session, comments will be taken in an orderly manner. If you have already submitted written comments those are part of the record and will be considered by DMR in evaluating the proposal. Comments received in writing and those provided at a public hearing are given equal deference.

Given the anticipated interest in the public hearing, DMR has put together some information about how the proceeding will be administered. Please carefully review the attached document as it contains important information related to the hearing.

How to register: Please register to participate in the hearing no later than 5pm on March 14th. Please note that individuals who registered for the previous hearing, will need to re-register for the rescheduled proceeding!
