MACHIAS DYKE BRIDGE FEASIBILITY STUDY: OPEN HOUSE, Public Meeting

SEPTEMBER 14, 2021, 4-7pm

MaineDOT will have staff available on the Machias Dyke Bridge causeway to discuss the history, status, and regulatory requirements of the feasibility study.

This event will be an open-house format, during which members of the public will be able to interact, ask questions, and provide comments regarding the future of the Machias Dyke Bridge. MaineDOT, federal agency partners, and others will staff tables associated with different project components, such as alternatives under consideration. If this open-house event cannot be held on the causeway due to weather or other factors, it will be relocated to the Machias High School (1 Bulldog Lane Machias, ME 04654).

MaineDOT is conducting this public meeting to inform the public and invite public comments. We are particularly interested in learning local views, discovering local resources, and identifying local concerns and issues.

Accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities.

MaineDOT will comply with MaineCDC health and safety guidance, which is subject to change based on the status of the pandemic.
