Land trusts have a critical role to play in addressing climate change. We protect land for a variety of reasons: recreation, biodiversity, view sheds, water quality or community values. But does your land protection strategy consider climate change?

On Monday, May 2nd, 2016, 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm (EST), North Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative (LCC) Science Delivery grantee Open Space Institute will present a webinar titled: “Case Studies on Building Climate Change Resilience into Your Land Protection Strategies”

The webinar will be moderated by OSI's Abby Weinberg who will be speaking with: Jeff Collins, Director of the Massachusetts Audubon Society’s Ecological Management Department; Andy Cutko, a licensed forester, has worked with the Maine Natural Areas Program since 2008; Sarah Wells is the Director of Land Protection at Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust and the Coordinator of the North Quabbin Regional Landscape Partnership in north-central Massachusetts; Karen Young Coordinator for the 10-partner Mount Agamenticus to the Sea Conservation Initiative (MtA2C) in southern York County, Maine.
